Asset Manager - Tokyo
The Asset Manager takes full ownership of assigned solar PV assets within the Sonnedix Japan operational portfolio. The Asset Manager sustains and optimizes the performance of the assets over their entire life-cycle, focusing on Risk and H&S Management, and the optimization of available resources across the asset stakeholders.
Key Competencies

• Solid working knowledge of monitoring and asset management software platforms
• Detailed knowledge and /or exposure to relevant local administrative AM framework
• Ability to create and maintain operating budgets

• Strong analytical, critical and structured thinking skills

• Experience managing direct and indirect reports, but also a self-starter thriving on Challenge

• Successful track record of negotiating/communicating/managing external parties such as, but not limited to: O&M suppliers, external contractors, insurance companies, technical advisors, lenders, as well as national, regional and local stakeholders (land owners, regulators, municipalities, etc.)

Key Accountabilities

• Create and manage operational budgets that optimize cost while maintaining quality
• Ensure accurate and on-time payments to suppliers, land owners, authorities and other payees

• Monitor plant performance and ensure production is maximized
• Detect plant issues and drive quick implementation of corrective actions
• Report incidents and lead investigations from root cause analysis though to corrective action
• Conduct on-site inspections through regularly scheduled site visits
• Manage O&M service provider partnerships and contracts, and enforce compliance obligations
• Obtain and maintain the licenses and permits necessary to keep the plant operational
• Submit accurate and on-time reporting as required by authorities and other stakeholders
• Take out and maintain required insurance policies and process claims
• Ensure compliance with all lender and insurance requirements
• Manage warranty claims and follow up on status
• Manage stakeholder relationships, especially with land owners, authorities, lenders and investors
• Ensure IT platforms are developed and used achieve best-in-class asset management
• Manage full compliance with applicable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations
• Implement and operate under Environmental Social Governance (ESG) standards

• Analyze plant data, identify improvement opportunities, and lead implementation of changes
• Support business needs for technical due diligence requests
• Work with global Asset Management team on optimization initiatives
